they are absolutely not going to depart. BOVINO might depart, but DHS is saying publicly and also common sense tells us they will keep terrorizing Chicagoans!

while I trust Block Club’s reporting on this I think at BEST Bovino is leaving. ICE enforcement is going to continue, and we can’t let up.

there’s a reason Trump is starting with immigrants as his dismantles due process protections in the United States. (ok, there’s a bunch and lots of them are racism, but there’s a procedural one, too.) people don’t get attorneys. it’s already the Wild West.

I’ve honestly been more worried about Trump intimidation impacts on migrants obtaining pro bono representation in immigration court. if big law won’t risk it for the ACLU, they aren’t taking asylum cases.
