The final evolution of software engineer is knowing so many programming languages that you can't code in any of them and have to Google basic syntax.

Consider trying this feed of "Other people also liked"
bsky.app/profile/spac...

If you like ML related posts then you will find what people who liked the same posts also liked in the last 24 hours.

That way you kind of automatically follow people who share your interests.
Created "For You" feed which works like this:
- we find all posts you liked
- then we find other people who liked the same posts
- then we find what else they liked to create the "for you" feed

The aim of this algorithm is to be simple and transparent.

bsky.app/profile/spac...

Feedback welcome.

just that period reminder that content posted to Bluesky is public to *anybody*. if you don't want to see it used in a court of law, don't post it here.

and DMs here are not E2EE, they can be subpoened. a great use for bsky DMs is to share secure comms and move the conversation there.

There's a lesser-known a connection between Borland/Pascal and C#:

The creator of Turbo Pascal is the same person who created C# (and TypeScript): Anders Hejlsberg. And several Borland folks joined Microsoft with him.

One positive outcome of "vibe coding" becoming widespread across devs is that prototyping becomes widespread.

Until now, it was accepted that for most engineers, prototyping is kind of hard? So I saw relatively few do it.

Now: SO easy with these AI tools! Fewer excuses left?

All @acm.org publications will be 100% Open Access as of January 2026. When we announced this at POPL and CHI this year, conference participants spontaneously erupted in applause. The CS community is excited about ACM's move to OA!

2. Feeds! You can subscribe to different algorithms for your feed, and feeds of specific groups of people.

My favourite one is 'Quiet posters', which shows you posts by people you follow who don't post very often.
