I’m putting “that person can fuck off” on a sticky note next to my laptop so when I write I’m writing for MYSELF thank you 🥲

One time someone complained that the chapters in my fics were too short. Ever since then I’ve had an imaginary finishing line when writing and it’s *ALWAYS* about the word count.

I’m trying to undo this thinking but that comment has stuck with me. I don’t think they’ve realised the damage it caused

It’s exciting to go through your history/bookmarks and seeing the words “update available” — and then you can get your favourite snacks and cosy up in bed for a good time.
