On a 33 MHz 486DX, we update David Rothman's college football computer ratings this morning. Video at 2x speed, in real time it takes about one minute to process the 1175 D1 games played. (I always love watching the convergence of an iterative formula like this.) Screenshots in next post.

The first “volcanic eruption” at #IUScienceFest didn’t go so well, but the second one was great!

A Bloomington radar update (4:10 pm) -- looks like another hour or so until the rain actually gets here. But if the strongest of these actually make it to town, expect heavy rain + lightning that will mean you should be indoors, not outdoors.

The enjoyment of this warm homecoming day is quickly headed downhill, Bloomington. Start preparing *now* for a wet, windy, thundery rest of the day. There's lightning in several of these storms, too -- please be wise.
