digging into some older gen JPRGs that i missed, and wow, these are pretty hard if you don't approach battles in a very specific way.

seeing Perfect Blue as soon as it hit the shelves in the US really crystalized my respect and admiration as animation as an "adult" art form.
i was barely a teenager when i got the VHS, but it was foundational in my appreciation and understanding of film as art and entertainment.

In the prime of GameFAQs (mid to late PSX era), I visited the site daily because not only was it for game help, it had a community with polls and other things that just felt nice engaging with. i checked daily for their new poll. and the april fool's jokes were incredible.
GameFAQs is definitely a big part of gaming history. Before YT, I would frequent GameFAQs to find guides to help me clear various sections of games. For those without extra money to buy official guides, GameFAQs was a great resource.

In the prime of GameFAQs (mid to late PSX era), I visited the site daily because not only was it for game help, it had a community with polls and other things that just felt nice engaging with. i checked daily for their new poll. and the april fool's jokes were incredible.
I love being able to refund a game on Steam after a surprise AI slop inclusion.
This one game had it within 10 seconds of starting the game. I have "Less than 1 minute played" haha. Get the fuck outta here.
