That's a hard no from me. Here at Penn State, there are profs requiring students to buy licenses so AI can grade their submissions. I don't think I could stay in a class that required that.

Both are required software to make your professors and TAs' lives a little easier, sure, but to students, it's often the opposite.

Getting a PhD in education in a country that wants to eliminate the Department of Education. Great timing on my part! (also- keep in mind that it is meaningful to the other half of society at least)

Do you need to decide already? Maybe do some more reading in both methods and see which papers speak to you more (also in my 1st semester of a PhD and grappling with similar questions)

Had the opportunity to hear Mike Brown give a lecture at Penn State about a decade ago. He presents a very compelling argument and I no longer feel that Pluto deserves full planet status after hearing his talk!

I was feeding it prompts last night and it invented references. When I asked it for a summary of the manufactured reference it gave me a reasonable-sounding summary of a paper on that topic. I will continue yelling at the cloud.
