I’m not sure how I feel about this logic. If he hadn’t been offside he still would have got injured. The game has risks, and the implication that this approach to offside increases that risk seems extremely spurious to me.

Sort of going round in circles now, but they give this person their own podcast, so no, I wouldn’t say it’s out of character.

I’m probably extra emotional about the result today because of the memorial at half time, which included my dad. I wanted today to be a joyful celebration in the sun. Sadly it wasn’t to be. Still, I found the tribute very moving, and good to remind everyone how much this club means to the fans.

Today is bittersweet for me. It’s my youngest’s first game and he’s bursting with excitement. It’s also the first home game of the season since my dad passed and his absence will be strongly felt.
Spurs was a big part of our relationship and I hope I can give that to my kids as well 🤍
