Another Blomstra hat; to say thank you to the farmer who gave me this wool. It’s a lovely long-stapled Romney x Corriedale.

If you know me you know I think Ganseys (traditional fishing workwear in some parts UK and Netherlands in the 19th and early 20th centuries) are just really neat.

So anyways I’ve been working on translating that into a sock pattern and this is what I’ve got so far.

Another completed Blomstra hat. This one is my favourite I think. It was knit with the husky/merino yarn which is surprisingly soft (I haven't felt that many huskies, but to my memory, they're a bit coarse?). Anyway, it's pretty. Good job to the designer. Good job to me!

Finished this hat! It's the skeleton of the Blomstra hat with my own colourwork pattern slapped on top.

Using my hand spun - haunui fibre from Charlotte (wanderandstitch) which was a delight to work with!

I am on a big colourwork hat kick. This one is the Blomstra Hat(?) Beanie(?) by Kajsa Vuorela Fredriksson. The white wool I'm using is pretty interesting; it's mostly merino but it has some husky blended into it! It is reasonably soft and has a pleasing halo

I made some of my medieval marginalia drawings into stickers! So I can stick them in the margins of my notebooks; where they belong.
