Good luck to Christopher Taylor (Y13) who steps into the ring to represent England on Saturday. He is facing Taylor McMahon, reigning Scottish & Three Nations Champion. Impressively, Chris is moving up a weight class to take on one of Scotland’s brightest talents. All of us at CNS wish him well!!

It was inspiring to visit The Branch in town yesterday buff.ly/F9NG9l2 and see some of our students absorbed in their cooking and gardening with the staff and volunteers there. We're looking forward to continuing and strengthening this precious community link!

Well done to our Year 11s for a smooth start to their mock exams this week - keep it going! A reminder about upcoming key dates: Thursday is non-uniform day and school is closed on Friday 24 Oct, Mon 3 and Tue 4 Nov (RLT and CNS INSET days). We're open to students again on Wed 5 November.

Selected students from the partnership primary schools came to take part in a music workshop yesterday. They learnt about samba rhythms from Mr Brown, Head of Music, and created music with this theme with the help of some of our GCSE students.

The Year 11s were outstanding at this year’s WOSSP Netball Tournament, held at Bartholomew School in Eynsham. Playing against six other schools from across West Oxfordshire, the girls showed determination, skill and teamwork – and their efforts were rewarded as they finished joint first!

This week's assembly was on the 5 benefits of regular attendance - ranging from improved mental health to stronger relationships and positive life-time habits. We will follow this up with a closer look this morning at Habituation vs Avoidance: how small steps of courage help us to control anxiety.
