I had been in this spot for a couple of hours when this short eared owl decided to flyby. A bit of light snow made for a nice morning out in the marsh.

Finally working through my backlog of images from the last few months.

A short eared owl flying towards the camera, bright yellow eyes fixed on the lens. Some light snow falling in the background and some patches of snow on the ground. The owl is flying low to the marsh grasses.

A favourite local walk of mine not too far from home. Its an old WWII radar station that's being reclaimed by the forest. I have tried to photograph it numerous times and was never happy, but thick fog sure helped! #treetuesday #deltabc
