The Caspian Seal is the Caspian Sea’s only marine mammal. Each year adults head north to gather on ice and pup, molt on northern islands, then disperse to central & southern basins.

Illegal killing of birds (IKB) is still one of the major threats to migratory birds, putting pressure on vulnerable species and undermining conservation progress. 🐦

The Christmas Island Frigatebird breeds exclusively on Christmas Island. 🏝️

Giraffes are the tallest living terrestrial animals 🦒 and have different coat patterns, which are unique to each individual.

They face a number of threats throughout their range and were uplisted to Vulnerable as they've declined by 40% in the last 30 years.

Today, IUCN officially declared the Slender-billed Curlew extinct, marking the first known global extinction of a formerly widespread migratory bird species whose range included mainland Europe, North Africa, and West Asia.
