I tried teaching elementary school as a second career in 2006-2007. Walking into those classrooms blew my mind. These idiots thought a "word-rich environment" meant sticking a bunch of random words all over the classroom walls.

My husband loves Cohen Brothers films. He *might* agree to play this one.

I don't care which party is abusing the rules; they both do it and neither should be able to.

Actually, a lot of Congressional rules need revamping. It's crazy that the Speaker of the House can just ignore an election and refuse to seat the winner. It's insane that the Senate can just refuse to even hold hearings on a presidential appointment.

The filibuster is an incredibly undemocratic rule and should be nuked, or at least radically changed. There should be a very limited number of very important things that require 60 votes to pass. If you're going to filibuster you should have to actually do it--hold the floor and talk *on topic.*

Did a candidate say this, or is this what you want candidates to say?

Hmm. I guess that's one way to do something sorta constructive with mountaintop-removal sites.

the only good thing that phrenology produced is the concept of Retrophrenology, as described by Terry Pratchett in "Men at Arms".

All you need to practise this complex art is a fascist and a hammer.

Both books include LGBTQ characters without making that the whole focus of the story.

*The Adventures of Amina al-Sirafi*, by Shannon Chakraborty, a fantasy of a woman who is a retired pirate captain pulled back into a life of adventure. And for something completely different, *All Adults Here*, by Emma Stroub, about three generations of a modern family dealing with life and love.

OK. I misunderstood, not necessarily equating MAGA with rich.

I understand this, and I will agree as soon as we reform campaign finance, etc. so it isn't practically impossible to defeat an incumbent.
