If Notre Dame beats Miami or A&M they absolutely have a home game and maybe even a bye. You & Alan said at the beginning of the year they needed 2 of 3 and they only got 1.

The strike cutting the season short did more damage than anything else in my opinion. It just felt like it an abrupt end of nearly everything.

CFB needs to realign and make 8 power conferences and that's it. Conf champs get in, there's no debate. Win the conference, don't lose to your rival.

Otherwise this will just be the NFL with a lower quality of football.

I say this as a Florida Gators alumni. The 5th best SEC team shouldn’t be in above conference champs. This isn’t an argument against Notre Dame. I actually like them and think they are really good this year. But unfortunately they lost on the field to Miami and A&M. Needed to pull one out.

12 “best” teams is so fucking subjective. No sport works like that. Nor should it. Winning games and winning your conference should be the most important aspect. Yes, Notre Dame should probably join a conference and go kick some ass. I don’t want to see 6 SEC or Big Ten teams in this thing.

All the reasons why I would put Notre Dame in over Oklahoma or Alabama. I am not going to devalue JMU & Tulane going out and winning a real title. If I had a magic wand I would rather all conf champs and like 2 at large bids actually make it.

Join a conference. I always prefer conference champs to at large bids

Tulane & James Madison absolutely deserve it. They won a conference title. A conversation can be had about Alabama. Truth is none of the teams listed really deserve anything. The playoff is too big.
