Don't store snow globes where they could freeze. I lost one my grandparents gave me years ago that froze and busted.

This is one of the Anise hyssop (Agastache foeniculum) plants I grew from winter sowing last year. Most of my garden is open woodland but there's a small area where this is planted that gets afternoon/evening sun.

I don't have any pets atm but here's a picture of two cute squirrels. The one squirrel is telling her friend that it's okay to feel anxious before surgery.

It's wonderful you are helping take care of Sepulveda Basin. A dear friend of mine who used to live across the freeway would often go there to photograph wildlife and enjoy nature. The preserve was a special place for her before she moved back home to Indiana a few years ago.

I'd always wondered how well the cocoons handle being moved. The majority of my back yard I don't touch the leaves. I do have some small areas where I remove them (patio and formal landscaping), but they go into a pile at the back of the property. I will try to be gentle about moving them.
