All the news, eh? I’d say this is like People magazine but that’s in insult to People. Think the prose would be less embarrassing.

It’s entirely negotiable apparently. And tradable for virtually nothing. Congrats on your shrewd deal making!

And you’ll cave for vague promises from a party that has refused to spend money lawfully appropriated by Congress. Lucy and the football over and over with Senate Democrats.

We were paying attention. Not endorsing the Democratic nominee for mayor was cowardly enough but failing to condemn the blatantly racist ads and messaging is a complete abdication of leadership.

What an incredibly intellectually shallow piece. Comparing someone who wants to improve lives by doing what might be hard politically with a nihilist who just wanted to break things by essentially (throwing up hands) ”they’re both populists.”

Controversial? You say potato, I say unconstitutional. Geez, NPR please find your sense of shame.
September 27, 2025 at 10:27 PM
Trying to figure out if the editorial board is incredibly naive (this piece being both historically ignorant and completely devoid of any concern about the second order impacts, such as hyperpolarization) or rank propagandists. Either way, we can ignore them going forward, which is nice.

I can assure you, it’s a challenge. It used to require a thesaurus so the words didn’t get stale. But we’re past that now. We need to invent words and phrases.

You and your comms team really need to find different employment. Defend DC. It’s coming to NYC and you know it. It’s not a distraction. And if you can’t figure it out you really need to retire.

Know what else is “deeply corrosive” to the global effort to curb Putin’s war machine? Navarro’s boss.

Stand with DC.

Somehow entirely appropriate. An elite institution that has been captured using nondescript language to describe the capitulation of another elite institution. Sign of the times. (No pun intended, but I guess it works.)

As a NYC resident for 20+ years who rides the subway to work every day, color me entirely unsurprised. I’d rather live here than anywhere in “Red” America.
July 23, 2025 at 2:22 AM
Ironically under Moron 1.0. He signed a trade deal in 2020 with Japan. Which makes makes me wonder why anyone would cut a deal with this guy.
July 23, 2025 at 1:51 AM
And your article is better than the NYT article. And the NYT article is better than usual.
July 23, 2025 at 1:47 AM
That’s fair. Honestly, I’m just exhausted by the “deal” coverage which fails to note the lack of a deal (or existing deal that we already breached).
July 23, 2025 at 1:39 AM
Honestly, why report the story this way? We have no verification from Japan about any “deal”.

And for the record, we had a trade deal with Japan signed during Trump 1.0. The U.S.-Japan Trade Agreement (USJTA). Honestly I don’t know why anyone would sign a deal with this charlatan.

“Oh, oh, raises hand.”
“Because the media sucks!”

Give the kid in the back a sticker.

Time for Jake Tapper to write another “Biden is Old” book, no?
July 23, 2025 at 12:22 AM
Kind of standard Trump-era Grey Lady story. Article, at least in general terms, actually delves into the intricacies of a relatively arcane point and almost suggests that Bondi’s action was improper. But the headline is just utter trash.

Please hire a public editor.

“Over the [flaccid] objections of [two] Republicans [and the strenuous objection of every Senator who caucuses with the Democrats]”. There, I fixed your misleading sub header. Must be exhausting to contort yourselves this hard. I know I’m exhausted.

There are days when I miss my WaPo subscription because there really are some good journalists there. Then I see a headline like this, one which had to be written by someone with no short term memory or who is truly committed to the stenographer bit, and I feel better.
July 15, 2025 at 10:44 PM
You mean you accurately informed readers of the actual import of the statement. You committed an egregious act of journalism.
July 12, 2025 at 4:54 PM
But Biden was old, right? Good to see the Grey Lady rising to the moment. As a long-time subscriber it’s sad to watch you embarrass yourselves again in Judith Miller, Iraq War- era fashion again.
