They replace some use cases for sure e.g. any MCP that can be done via CLI tools. But they also provide a way to put scaffolding around MCPs

Saleforce is larping, Google can’t sell, Amazon doesn’t have an easy to adopt product. MS is trying very, very hard to stall copilot but the good bits are OpenAI

So it’s very plausible that the main money is Anthropic and OpenAI
