The fiscal year is over.

So how was the NIH appropriation committed?

A long thread with institute by institute results about where the money went.

Since there is some discussion that NIH institutes should not simply use paylines to determine which grants to fund, I thought I would share some old data.

These are plots of funding probability fas a function of percentile score for 9 institutes.

“MAGA/MAHA does not like autistic people. So it has now officially blamed mothers for bearing autistic children and offered the possibility they can cure these defective people. This is wrong. Wrong on the science. Wrong on the reality. And wrong on the humanity.”

The CDC quietly neutered the best Covid data on the planet yesterday. ED data visualization has been stripped of age stratification, and state-by-state trends.

ED data has been far better for state by state trends than WW. Poof.

Donald Trump’s plan is one that’s been repeated over and over again by dictators across history — inciting the local population before sending disrupters.

That’s how you convert a democracy into something else.

Illinois won’t fall for this ploy.

What in the actual hell?!
The president of the United States just declared war, actual military war, not a metaphorical one, on a major American city, and one governed by his political opponents.

In any other period, this would be impeachment-worthy.

About this Florida vaccine story:

When they were little - 1 yr and 3 1/2 - my two older boys, who’d had all their shots, got whooping cough.

We asked their pediatrician what would’ve happened if they hadn’t been vaccinated.

“Oh, they’d have died.”

Let me get this straight: RFK Jr’s $500m cut to mRNA contracts was based on a non‑peer‑reviewed, self‑published, anti-vax bibliography authored by his cronies who are all tied to a ‘vaccine detox’ supplement company? Got it 👍

We systematically debunk RFKs claims on mRNA vaccine technology.

His announcement cancelling vital funds was littered with inaccuracies.
