I finally finished my top 10 video game list of 2024. I am working on my board game list next, but man. What a good year for games in general (and I'm glad, because I NEEDED THE DISTRACTIONS)

This is why NYT's Connections is an amazingly frustrating game. I love the concept, but too often clues like this exist purely to waste one of your four guesses when it's clearly a connection. That doesn't feel great when you are so limited on chances. It comes across as very player-antagonistic.

Also I haven't felt compelled to stay up til 1:30am to clear a fight in a looooong time, but this one really got its hooks in me to wanna farm it. I couldn't even be bothered to farm EX2, despite enjoying it!
