I saw the coverage today on the news and I am truly embarrassed to be an American. I cannot fathom how anyone can support this kind of childish bullying. It just hurts my soul.

Just because it’s different from what you’re used to doesn’t make it bad. This was a bold, brave statement directly in front of the people and powers actively trying to cancel #BlackHistoryMonth. Art isn’t always meant to be cuddly and happy - it’s supposed to make you think.

Tonight’s kitten therapy. Maybe someday I’ll post something other than posts about the girls but for now it’s what is keeping me sane in an otherwise ugly and nasty world.

Just back from our local SPCA getting the last of our distemper vaccines. Girls are now 6 months old, 7.5 lbs each, and officially finished with kitten shots!

Having previously only adopted full-grown and slightly traumatized cats before I knew there would be a few things about kitten rearing that would end up being learning curves.
