Does anyone actually use IFTTT anymore? WTF? - Also this camera kinda slaps. Cheapest one with HomeKit secure video support and 3 RTSP streams - all of which seem super stable so far.

Update
A messy back area of a bus. A frame with 4x 3030 aluminum extrusions that make up the verticals, drawer slides attach front and back and a single 2020 spans the gap between the sides. Two HF storage bins sit on the top drawer slides.

This shit might actually work! If it does, I’ll be able to fit 20 of these cases under my desk on 10 drawer slides. I currently have 16 of them iirc. I should have done this years ago.

Turns out I already had a DVB tuner that works with rtl_433. Aside from the pain of configuring rtl_433, this was pretty easy, but looks like I need to pick up a valve stem tool for my front left. Can’t seem to get it to fill. Sensors are accurate tho.

This was $15 + 75% off at the ReStore. I’ve been kinda wanting one of these for years AND it’s six tires for the dually AND the display has a lil solar panel on it. Holy shit. An RF board to get these into HA should be less than what I saved with the surprise discount.

I forgot I haven’t posted the new battery yet. I wanna thank some friends for helping me get this going at an inopportune time. You know who you are. Each one of those cells is 1kWh.

Lights aren't flickering though... only that fan and another one just like it seem affected. Then I notice my phone charger is also affected. Nothing weird in any of the BMS data, then I check the PwrTool - voltage isn't dropping.... it's spiking!

Bad batteries get the cube
A galvanized steel box about 18x18x18 inches. It seems to be upside down on sandy dirt. There’s a handle seen on one side and on the other visible side says in sharpie “battery dunce cap”. The top(bottom?) says “spicy lithium battery danger”

Chatted with @graphiteeditor.bsky.social at Maker Faire and am very excited for desktop builds. Also decided to try some of the node features on a logo concept - just a simple offset repeat, but it's parametric and live editable - stroke, path, etc. very cool shit.

Well that could have been a lot worse. This wire was just under spec for my upgraded solar and has probably been cooking itself for like 2 years. It failed when I was out of town. Keep an eye on your wires people, I even noticed it could have been a problem and ignored it

Was poking around some old projects in prep for my Maker Faire talk (Sat 27 @3:30) and I decided to make this fuse block reversible so you can just order assembly on one side depending on if you want your inputs on the left or right. Still gotta send out a run, but it's not in the budget rn.

I finally got a c to micro b cable so I don’t have to be tethered while charging my pancreas. Works great with the PwrTop
An insulin pump, vial of insulin, and an 18650 battery bank sit on a countertop. The battery is connected to the insulin pump with a short cable.
