I feel this is less a contradiction and more of a ideological fracture.
Musk knows Trumpism is the way to achieve many of his goals, but I don't think he's ever been sold on tariffs.
He and his collaborators represent a bigger threat than Trump in the long run, I truly believe this.

I truly believe this is important, please hear: We need to loudly and frequently characterise Trump as Musk's puppet. This is the fastest offramp to the pseudo-cabinet position Musk currently holds, Trump won't stand for standing in Musk's shadow.

Definitely Counterpoints (Conor), he’s got some nuanced takes usually. A bit extreme in his 2A, but generally good faith.
