so I know I haven't streamed much lately, it's because Obsidian just recently started open beta-testing a turn-based mode for the original Pillars of Eternity and now I'm finally playing that game now that I can be free of terrible RTwP combat

I saw someone make an interesting point that you can clearly see that genAI "safeguards" don't actually stop it from encouraging people to commit suicide and family annihilation, they very clearly do not work.
But, they *do* appear to be working fine against encouraging people to, say, assassinate.

I was admittedly intrigued by early models (2021-ish) that spat out truly incomprehensible machine hallucinations built on public domain images. Everything that followed devolved into a mass theft of labor to enrich wealth at dangerous expense to our environment. Generative "AI" should not exist.

No consumer-facing LLMs or generative "A.i." in anything.
Sure, machine learning in science and a few other limited applications is fine.
