It cannot be right that the government is still hounding carers for repayments, long after this scandal was exposed and even after we secured an independent review, but before it has been put right.

The fact that we have a Member of Parliament effectively endorsing and certainly normalising incitement to violence against a marginalised and racialised social group says everything about just how dangerous the spread of fascist logic in British society has become.

It’s #DeafAwarenessWeek! I'm proud to be the first MP to ask a question in BSL & support the BSL Bill, now law. It ensures deaf people are heard in policy & practice. I’ll always use my role to push for a fair and inclusive society and I think everyone should learn a little BSL!
