The morning after. For context, my blood sugar would’ve been at 16-17 mmol/l by now. Instead it’s 11.3 mmol/l and going down because of an hour of exercise last night - literally the first morning in months it’s this low. I am fucking triumphant.

Good morning. Up early to go to Essex to see the in-laws. The hair isn’t cooperating today.

This is a good question, so I’m from an isle in north Kent and it’s relatively quiet. I’d probably show them where I grew up, went to school, the parks I used to play in, and take them to the most beautiful natural bits. Also, there’s a nudist beach too so there if they were into that 🤣

Not caused by sugar.
Not caused by weight.
Not caused by diet or lifestyle choices.
Most importantly, not our fault.

All my life, blue has always been my ‘happy’ colour. Even through my hardest days, it’s always reminded me that I am in control. Ever since my T1D diagnosis, I am constantly wearing blue to remind myself of my strength, resilience and courage to live in a body where its natural state is dying.
