Worth an early walk from home to Radford Meadows Stafford, little gull is a site record for me. Also c300 lapwing, similar numbers of teal and wigeon. 9 pintail and c100 shoveler. @staffsbirdnews.bsky.social

#bioacoustics another #nocmig dunlin over the garden recorder 2300hrs 14th Nov, makes 4 since August. No wonder we keep finding them on Radford Meadows, Stafford

Barn owl box fitted in Stafford farm barn. We know they visit, so hopefully they will take to the box

Trouble with jackdaws. 2 of the 5 owl boxes cleared at Sherratts Wood Scout campsite contained abandoned tawny owl eggs. The jackdaws sit on top of the boxes and throw sticks onto the owl till it abandons. Other boxes taken over by squirrels. Better luck next year🤞
