Now hearing from Nigerian humanist Mubarak Bala who is now safe in Germany but who was persecuted and sentenced to 24 years’ imprisonment in Nigeria for blasphemy. Efforts of UK, US, EU and his great humanist lawyers got him out but he should be safe at home, not exiled.

I’m heartily sick of people claiming that pluralism requires welcoming the far-right into discussions or platforms permitting hate-speech and abuse. If you do that, the hate speech becomes normalised & everyone who isn’t a neo-Nazi is driven away.
