There are no words besides this is fucking terrifying. There are so many to blame. We have to turn this around because this is a failure of first past the post and does not reflect the political will of most Canadians. Our electoral systems are broken. We need to fix them.

I went to picket w/ the @cupwsttp.bsky.social workers yesterday to show solidarity. I have been so focused on other things that I have not shown up for the Postal workers like I wish I had. Some of them didn't even know about being locked out! I blame the media for its failure to report. #solidarity

This reminds me of when I taught a very bright & sweet 1-2 class at an alternative school. Two of the students in the class had a parent who was an active socialist. One day we were talking about gender boxes & how there are "boy" & "girl" sections in clothing & toy stores & musing about why.

I have so many feelings about this.... I have NEVER liked Freeland and worried for a long time she would be the next Liberal leader. I hope this prompts JT to resign as leader and that we can hold off having an election for at least 6 months but I don't know ... This is not good timing!

My Spotify wrapped is so warped by having a 21 yr old musician kiddo who dominates my top songs & an 8 yr old who messes with my algorithm & top songs. I also listen to a lot on vinyl & download songs b/c it is more sustainable. Embarrassed by some of my top 100 but give me a # and I'll share....

My paternal grandparents met because my Gampie was fighting fascism and was a part of the RAF. He grew up working class, the son of a taylor in Portsmouth. He met my Gammie in Westmount, Montreal. She was the daughter of an engineer/ship builder. They never would have met if it wasn't for WW2.

And this is why just swapping out every combustion engine car with a similar electric vehicle is NOT a solution. We need to prioritize public transportation, walking, cycling (and other forms of micro mobility) car share etc.

Every afternoon outside our house, the starlings converge ahead of their murmurations and it makes me so happy! In these scary times, these natural moments of beauty and magic are so precious!

Not sure how to get #s like that again but grateful to not be constantly reporting & blocking trolls/bots.

We need witchcraft, magic, community, solidarity, ecofeminism, earth connection, ritual and the divine feminine more than ever right now and I'm grateful for the afternoon I got to spend immersed in this history.

I was especially delighted to see that near the end of the exhibit, there was a section dedicated to Starhawk & her seminal book The Spiral Dance. I first got a copy of this book into my hands when I was in grade 10 (1991) & it took a decade until I found women to start a coven with. We still meet.

pop culture. I was so inspired and excited to see how thoughtfully this was put together. It was a reminder to me how much the idea of "witches" has changed in the almost 50 years I've been alive and there is so much more openness to Witchcraft and Magic than even 20 years ago.

He was Philip Aubert de Gaspé and my Grandmother told me stories about him as did a Quebec based Witch scholar 20+ years ago. Anyway, it was cool to see some Quebec specific information. The exhibit did not just focus on the oppression of magic but also looked at the revival and role of witches in

I've been exploring Witchcraft since I was in High School & started actively practicing around 1996. The primary influence on my practice was/is Starhawk & the Reclaiming tradition. I was over the moon to see that this exhibit was going on while I was recently in Montreal & I went last weekend. 🧵

Post a picture or two of yourself when you were young and felt like revolutionary change was possible in your lifetime. Circa 2001 when the anti globalization movement was at its height! I hope my kids will get to feel like we will smash capitalism in their lifetime.

Just to prove how much Tim Houston did not want to give people time to organize and challenge his record, let me present to you the Conservative party headquarters. Note that there were no signs. Houston wanted to benefit from voter fatigue (we just had a municipal election) and fly back into power

There are so many excellent reasons to be addressing the #climateemergency and putting climate justice above all else. My kiddos are a daily reminder that this work is urgent and also a marathon.
