I know the world finds it very easy to dismiss any and everything Palestinians say (and document).

But how do you explain away the countless accounts of Israeli soldiers themselves?

Powerful reminder to make clear where I'm getting my info from - not just for my audience's sake, but for the sake of the orgs doing the investigations.

(n.b. I always link in the description, but who looks at that??)
Lots of important stuff but this specific bit is INCREDIBLY important and something I hope those all us who do some form of public communications and rely on the intensely difficult work of reporting hear

loool - in my head we were having a conversation too!
Really strong summary of how (and whether) to talk to people who deny climate science.

Great work from the Sphera Network!

yeah ceasefire seems to be one of those self explanatory words that somehow is never used to mean what it seems like it ought to mean.

A stat we don't talk about enough: Newspapers have lost 77% of their jobs over the last 20 year, more than any of the 532 other industries tracked by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
There's this pattern of asking perfectly legit questions

(why do so many need foodstamps??)

But then having complete disinterest in the answer

(because wages and social security aren't enough for many people to *feed themselves*)
I know you’re a bodybuilder, but use your noggin this time. Nearly half of those who receive food stamps work. Of the rest, most are over 65 or disabled. Wages are too low for tens of millions, and Social Security isn’t enough for many elderly.
I am deeply concerned about the impact that Melissa will have.

And - yes - climate change is raising the risk of hurricanes like these. In myriad ways.

yeah I immediately thought of this classic Grove quote. and shuddered at the thought.
What do people like RFK Jr think "expert" means?
RFK Jr: We need to stop trusting the experts... Trusting the experts is not a feature of science or democracy, it's a feature of religion and totalitarianism.
If this is how one of the world's most famous people is treated, we can only begin to imagine* what captive Palestinians have experienced.

* We don't actually need to imagine. There are countless, corroborated accounts from Palestinians and Israelis.

Yesterday, indigenous activists protested in front of the venue where the pre-COP is being held in Brasília, demanding more ambitious climate action targets.

The action is part of the campaign "The Answer Is Us", calling for frontline leadership to have a say on decision-making at COP30.
For years, experts have warned of the toxic relationships (with truth, with power, with each other) that generative AI could facilitate.

Seems many companies read these warnings as a todo list.
I'm not sure how many constructive conversations you have online or off, but putting hyperbolic views in the mouth of someone you're talking to isn't generally the best way of going about it. better luck with your next human interaction!
