Working @ Minsmere & a call from site owner thinking he may have seen a Nutcracker feeding on his apples! Was there in c5mins, wasted a while walking down a track, so walked back & it was feeding mega close next to car! Big twitch! During its stay ParrotXbills & W-t Eagle seen. Sadly it perished 😔

Reminded me of a drake I saw on the small loch at Pierowall in spring, then followed by an eclipse drake Steller’s Eider in the summer in Sound of Papay in 1978! Patch envious Steve! 👍🏻
