I got to see Saint Motel the other day and they were amazing. Such great energy and I had so much fun. I would highly recommend seeing them if you have the chance.

I’ve been feeling exhausted lately because of work and not sleeping well, so I’ve enjoyed going back to the Sound of Silver album by LCD Soundsystem. The song “North American Scum” is always a good one to pump me up while driving.

I’ve been feeling exhausted lately because of work and not sleeping well, so I’ve enjoyed going back to the Sound of Silver album by LCD Soundsystem. The song “North American Scum” is always a good one to pump me up while driving.
Enjoying a quadrupel on the patio. Also ordered a brisket grilled cheese sandwich for a late dinner. Feels good to rest a bit.

So bleh by the Oscar nominations this year. Pretty much ignoring Dune existed. Snubbing Nosferatu for many nominations it should have gotten. Highlighted a movie that has an, at best, tone deaf take on Mexican culture by a Frenchman. Saying Wicked has an original score but Dune doesn’t. Just… 🤦♂️

If you haven’t started watching Deep Space Discounts by @deepblueink.bsky.social, you are missing out. He was already killing it with his animations of Dropout and Drawfee content, but he is crushing it with this. I hope this show is a smash and he can keep going. Highly recommend it.

So I finally watched the new Nosferatu and I came out of that movie feeling amazed. For me, it felt like one of the best modern takes on not just the idea of a classic horror movie, but the feel of it. Cinematography… Chefs Kiss. This just hit different for me. Way to go Robert Eggers.

I had some fun a couple days ago making some very tasty french onion soup. I’ve loved using this homemade veggie broth I make, which I like better than any beef broth I’ve ever had. Came out so very tasty.
