So it's a double foolery for the underpriviledged ones: believing that ALL university degrees have value on the job market + believing that getting these degrees with IA overreliance, without developping genuine skills, can secure you a permanent interesting job.

As a uni professor it's hard for me to say that unviersites degrees are intellectually worthless but I agree with you that it's always a good thing to expose crerdntialism. Now the sad thing is that most of these non Ivy league social sc degrees were already not having much value on the job market.

I would rather say that the wicked IA impact on honest students/workers is that they have to demonstrate that their work comes from genuine personal thinking much more than what we had to.

In other words, sheer stupidity and the protection of a small set of priveledges for a small set of individuals should never be underestimed as drivers of conservative politics.
