Primary school teacher in London. Lover of the mini whiteboard.
Anyone got any tips for how to get readers of David Walliams and Dogman to try something a little more challenging?

The thing I really enjoyed about #soane25 yesterday was the people who explained how things hadn't worked first time. They were honest about their mistakes. Teaching isn't an exact science and it was joyful to hear of people's experimentation. More honesty and failures at conferences please.

Absolutely nails it. Brilliant post. I'd also add there's going to be perverse incentives *not* to seek a high inclusion rating if it signals to some families you prioritise less complicated and vulnerable children.
"Ofsted's standalone ‘Inclusion’ judgement highlights the importance of valuing all learners, but we must ensure it doesn't become a box-ticking exercise that sidesteps true inclusivity."

Some thoughts on the proposal.

I read so many new research journal editions on important topics like writing, reading, teaching & learning, & think of all the missed opportunities for practitioners.

We need more reviews of practice, more relationships between researchers & practitioners, co-constructed research questions etc.
