I’d love to find more evidence of them as an early modern Scots epistolary practice. I’m incorporating this into my PhD thesis. Thank you for sharing this, I very much appreciate your help. If you come across others I’d love to know.

Yes, I’m very interested in them from a Scots perspective. Marie Stewart, countess of Mar used them-although born in France she moved to Scotland aged 11 & wrote her letters in Scots. Her children also used them & I’ve found a couple of other Scottish non-kin writers who also used them.
