Texas redistricting ruling upends candidates’ plans for 2026
Republicans who were planning to run for newly gerrymandered districts may have to reassess, while Democrats who were drawn out of their seats could suddenly have a path back to Congress.

From Texas TribFest. So thankful for your voice. I became tongue tied at the Omni and just happy to shake hands. It’s akin to meeting a favorite rock star at sxsw! Grateful that the Tribune brings us the best.

First stop this morning in Austin. Such a great lineup at the TX TribFest!
Most Americans agree we need to get money out of politics. If that takes a constitutional amendment, then that's what we have to do. And if that's going to take years, then it's all the more reason to begin pushing now.

So hope this is true and wherever it is that they go next, there will be a judge as strong as Sara Ellis
Federal immigration agents part of the Trump administration’s “Operation Midway Blitz” may soon leave Chicago, according to multiple sources who said the controversial mission was rapidly winding down after a contentious two months of enforcement raids that have set the city and suburbs on edge.
Federal Border Patrol Chief Gregory Bovino and agents said to be leaving Chicago, sources say
Cmdr. Gregory Bovino was expected to depart Chicago within days, while most Border Patrol agents under this command would soon be redeployed elsewhere, three sources told the Tribune Monday.

After my car broke down today, was frustrated that I didn't make it to "No Kings" in Austin. So thankful to find some great images from Candice Bernd that took me there.

This haunts me. If the Oregon National Guard were to be deployed, General Alan R Gronewald has said they would be there to protect any protestors at the ICE facility, ie fellow Oregonians. How would that manifest since ICE is there to attack protesters?

I hope that Portland can keep this going. I only wish I was seeing more of this in the media.

Does anyone remember Scott Klatt's court drawings from the trials after the Malheur occupation in Oregon? I'm wondering if he's still active there. Would love to see his take on the so called "war ravaged" Portland.
If anyone knows what he's up to presently, would love feedback.

After a tour of Newfoundland and brief visit with friends in RI found myself driving cross country in in a mad dash home to Austin. But not without a stop at Maker’s Mark where traveling companion Katherine’s 6 year old barrel was ready. Dale Chihuly, a RISD classmate, was on exhibit there.
