It’s restricted because council have chosen it to be restricted with their zoning. I think density should be greater everywhere because we have 1.6% vacancy and need more homes. But I won’t oppose high density if it’s the only thing offered. It’s necessary

My point is that it’s ABC that blocks the beneficial additions the city that you want not the BP per se. We could have and should have had more benefits but for ABC’s obstruction. But I don’t want idealized perfection of the BP to be the enemy of the good: much more needed housing

Francis, the BP could have easily had some of the wins you’re talking about except ABC actively shut them down by lying about congestion pricing during the election and voting to not have bike lanes on Broadway. This is an ABC issue, not BP

The insane part is that the exact thing he complains about happened in BC, the province he lives in. In 2017 the NDP and Greens came to a governance agreement despite both having less seats than the Liberals
