We can do better, America. Every day.
Farmers are dying by suicide at the third-highest rate by vocation in Utah.

But after a federal program offering mental health support ran out of money, the state did not continue it.

Ex-farm worker here.

We need to talk about this whole "But a living wage for farm workers would spike the cost of food!" thing.

Not true AT ALL.

Y'all don't understand how fast experienced farm workers are.

The average tomato picker pulls 650lbs per hour.

At $20/hr, that's $0.03/lb for labor.

I’m sorry. I’m so sorry. This is unacceptable. Period. Stop it. Everyone literally stop devaluing humans. If we valued our humans and treated them as we would want to be treated this would not happen. And yes, I will fully blame the negative and combative rhetoric from our correct administration.

Talk about a blue wall of resistance!🔥

Every single Democratic Governor has signed a statement standing with Gov. Newsom
@governor.ca.gov and
eviscerating Trump for abusing his power by deploying California’s National Guard and threatening to send U.S. Marines into American neighborhoods.

Called my congressman who voted for the SAVE act.

Me: What documents will I need to vote if this passes?
Staffer: a DL and birth certificate.
Me: The documents don’t match
Staffer: Then a marriage certificate.
Me: Will my husband need the marriage certificate too?
Staffer: No
Me: See the problem?

Are you a woman who changed your name when you got married?

Congress is considering a bill that could make it much harder for you to vote.

I worked with Noem when she was a state legislator many moons ago. I can, without hesitation, say that she is one of the most morally bankrupt humans I’ve ever seen.
Migrant detainees should be in a maximum-security El Salvador prison "for the rest of their lives," Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem says — despite a recent CBS News investigation that found more than 75% of those sent to the prison had NO criminal records.

This. Over and over and over again.

“When people show you who they are… believe them.” - Maya Angelou

We must believe them and treat the PINO this way. And know it is all about this. Not about a strategy at all. It is about this.
“They were careless people…they smashed up things and creatures and then retreated back into their money or their vast carelessness…and let other people clean up the mess they had made…” -- F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby (April 10, 1925).

I’ve spent a lot of time in chambers listening to elected officials. I usually did work and barely listened except for my name to be called to testify. I only caught 3 hours of this. I watched for 3 hours… with tears in my eyes and hope in my heart. Amazing @booker.senate.gov Absolutely amazing.

The coolest thing I’ve seen today is that a bunch of volunteer public health professionals and developers have restored the CDC website from before January 20th 2025.

This differs from an archive in that they want to rebuild the links between pages and replicate the full website.
