On May 6, at the corner of Giles Ave. and Pershing Rd., Chicago installed an honorary street sign "Harlem Globetrotters Way." The site is in Bronzeville near Wendell Phillips High School, where the team got its start.

Artist Leo Segedin z"l. 1927-2025

Our former Chicago Jewish History editor/designer, artist Beverly Chubat, notified us of the death Chicago-born artist Leo Segedin. He had a long, prolific career creating, teaching, and exhibiting art. He lived in Evanston.
