(3) Others there had one cancelled/rejected because of the word transitioning, but it referred to a child transitioning to an adult. This girl is researching glioblastoma. How sad that these potentially life saving research projects will not get funding.

(2) When the Trump folks were purging all DEI program references, they also cancelled or rejected any grant with any words that could be construed as DEI related. It was related to diversity of cells.

(1) A lot of the research grants were cancelled because the grants had a “forbidden” word within the write up of the grant. Just today a friend whose daughter is in a grad program at Penn and she had written a grant that had the word diversity in it.
