And this is from one of the leaders of the group who posted a Facebook comment in response to my comment around 2/18/2025. She direct messaged me to talk; I suggested we meet in a person; she agreed and then ghosted me.

It looks like it. The artist was trying to be very clever. One issue is that only people who are paying full attention to local politics would likely get it.

If it is the same well-off retired couple I am thinking, one of them writes on Substack and Commondreams.org. The person strikes me as an aspiring celebrity writer or politician who never launched. It might be helpful if one works with others and sees real-life constraints to implementing his ideas.

My post also included excerpts from it so that people did not have to download the document to see what I am saying. This person replied several posts after me in the same thread on 10/02. There is very little chance that the person is not aware.

I already shared a five-page document about Michael Stein’s conduct back in 10/01 in another thread in the same listserv: cityuntangled.com/wp-content/u.... I am sorry if I was being inappropriate but I let other people know about this Bluesky while sharing that.

I am speculating that a lot of it can be explained by “well-off stay-at-home dad from New York City; unrecognized artist; no prior local reputation; and approaching middle age.” His art is focused on criticizing others rather than sharing his inner ideas. He might be afraid of others judging him.

I have the screenshots of what she said about the Roost owners on Facebook before the admins of the group where she posted it deleted them for negative content. I am not going to share them here. She has a tendency to even harass general members of the public who she views as political opponents.

According to her, ”the City Council outranks the mayor” (Gazette 3/12 article at gazettenet.com/2025/03/12/r...), so asking people to write her in as the mayoral candidate would be asking for a demotion. I do not know what she is asking for when she asks people to promote her.

About 2m30s into the WHMP radio interview on 9/5 (on.soundcloud.com/Hf2RolBXAXZ7...), candidate for council-at-large Meg Robbins talks about how the PAC is in its own island and nobody knows anything about. Al Simon started the PAC and now got the group endorsement after stepping down.

Specific words and actions matter more than abstract labels. The opaque candidate endorsement committee and not being open about the linkage between the group and its PAC (ocpf.us/filers?q=81126) are some examples.

I think this group’s underlying main intent was never transparency or reforms to better represent everyone. The most dominant people in the group are largely composed of well-off newer transplants and established local socioeconomic elites like doctors and professors.

Possibly. It is the content that makes it public record, not the medium. If you are conducting government business, it is public record whether you are using a private channel or a public channel. Here is one article about Everett that had this issue: www.masslive.com/politics/201....

"If those emails pertain to government business, then the public should have access to them so they know what’s being done on their behalf," said Justin Silverman, executive director of the New Englan...
