In an absolutely devastating ruling, the Supreme Court has allowed the transgender military ban to go into effect.
This is shocking - the ban explicitly called transgender people dishonorable for being transgender. It is as clear as day soaked in animus.

When I get blood drawn, I'm not scared of the needle. I'm scared my body won't produce blood properly from its veins, that a meager trickle will fill the vial over a matter of several minutes. Or no blood at all! Warm butter and hot sauce might spill out instead. How embarrassing.

As a querying author with fulls out there being read, I wonder hard if not being searchable on socials besides here will hurt me. With an X gender marker on my ID I truly feel unsafe doing more than bsky for the foreseeable future. Is anyone else dealing with this conundrum of expectations?

There’s an Urdu name for a “Jack of all trades” that translates to “every talent Lord.” A Korean version is “eight direction beauty.” But my favourite name for someone who tries their hand at lots of different things is the Lithuanian Barbė devyndarbė. It means “Barbie nine jobs”
