@cipd.bsky.social’s Public Affairs Manager @carlquilliam.bsky.social is giving evidence to the APPG on Modernising Employment. He is highlighting the ins and outs of the Employment Rights Bill and our take on it.

The CIPD's CEO Peter Cheese closed the event, highlighting the importance of continued partnership, working to push for the reforms needed in our skills system. He also underlined the CIPD's commitment to advocating for how the people profession can support skills adoption and improved productivity.

With the Government’s ambition to reform the apprenticeship system, the creation of Skills England, the Employment Rights Bill, and the Keep Britain Working Review, this was a great opportunity for policymakers, employers and academics to share their insights.

We were in Westminster on Tuesday hosting a Skills Forum with Youth Futures Foundation to discuss the future of skills policy.

We had a great opening panel session with Lord Blunkett, Rt Hon Robert Halfon, Lauren Edwards MP, YFF's Barry Fletcher and CIPD's Lizzie Crowley.

Some fanastic discussion at our event today on women’s health. It's clear that improving employment practices can help support economic growth.
