It's interesting that today's rally has been called a "migrant march" while I think that migrants in London (and elsewhere) are stuck in their houses and possibly away from windows.

It would also be incumbent to redirect people to the UK Government page, which shows that the UK receives many fewer asylum seekers than other EU countries.

Whatever problems the UK has, they are NOT being caused by the increasingly small num of migrants/asylum seekers

I have often complained about the weather in #Manchester, but, oh boy!, the last few days have been gorgeous.

Today, I had the pleasure of presenting at the 5° National Conference of the Italian Medical Anthropology Society in Bologna.
(Incidentally, I was also very happy to present at the same university where, more than ten years ago, I graduated in Anthropology).

"contributed to her losing her seat" I am not an expert, but isn't this the basic principle of a political election?

Today I went to the Manchester Art Fair and bought a picture I love (Chris Naylor, A view from Alexandria). Then, I took a walk in the colours of Fall.

The difficult season has started (dark and cold), and I am posting some pictures I took this summer in my village in Southern Italy. Back then. the evil place ignored them, so I'm counting on you, Blueskyers, to warm my heart!

Despite everything going on, I had the chance to see the sun and the sea—just a glimpse to remind me that the sky is not always grey.

I like reading books about writing written by novelists and think how much (or how little) of what they say can be applied to non-fiction writing. Here is Patricia Highsmith on distractions, and if you are in the university, you know everything about writing between endless admin forms to fill!

Yesterday, I participated in an event to discuss neurodivergent experiences and talked about my experience as an autistic anthropologist. It was heartwarming to see how my communication style was accommodated. Also, more conversations should be organised in parks 🙂

"I'm meant to be here"
I thought it was an answer to my doubts. Instead, it's a temporary installation on campus celebrating the bicentenary of the University of Manchester.

So, according to my local grocery store, it's already Easter!
(The frog, like me, is not fully convinced though...)

"many of them from abroad" Blame the migrant is the favourite British game and nobody cares about that small thing called truth. In fact, if you are a homeless migrant in the UK, you are much much more likely to be deported than helped.

An example.
And apparently, people replying yes to these questions don't get any immediate help, but they join a years-long waiting list.

(but of course, the problem is the videos on TikTok, isn't it?)
