Our crested cream legbar girls. All very sweet. Not breed standard colors for CCL, but they are perfect for my little flock. Olive is a bit sensitive about her lack of crest, but we tell her she's beautiful to us. #backyardchickens #chickensofbluesky

Our babies have been putting themselves to bed for about two weeks. It took a few days to set a routine, but they got the hang of it quickly. We added a nisty coop light that turns on 10 minutes before the auto-door closes to encourage them to come inside. #backyardchickens #chickensofbluesky

Five weeks old today. Such big babies! We finished the run over the weekend, so they moved into the tent brooder inside the run a couple of days ago. Coop should be ready for them by the end of this weekend. #backyardchickens #chickensofbluesky

Time to bind-off! I'm going to use interlock bind-off for maximum stretch. I was content with the look when I tried it on, but I'm excited to see it post-blocking. #knitsky

Day 4 enrichment, cardboard tubes. The welbar cockrels are always the first to try the new toys. It's impressive how quickly their balance improves!

Knitting out and ankle elevated. Coop construction has taken up most of my free time in July. Then, I severely sprained my ankle on Monday. And baby chicks arrived on Wednesday, about two days early. Lucky that I setup my brooder on Tuesday! #knitsky #backyardchickens #chickensofbluesky
