ICE stormed a residence hall at Augsburg University, detained an undergrad, and aimed rifles at students and staff then admitted they had no warrant to be on campus.

This is state violence. This is terror. And this is exactly what Trump’s America unleashes on our communities.

Friends, Yesterday and today, I watched many hours of the CDC’s meeting of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP).

It was painful.

But we learned a lot.

That bad news is that our kids are going to pay the price for RFK jr’s views.

I had terrifying conversations with four former CDC officials, Dr. Demetre Daskalakis, Dr. Debra Houry, Dr. Dan Jernigan, and Dr. Nikki Romanik, about the formerly prestigious public health agency.

All of them told me that any information coming out of the CDC can no longer be trusted.

Actions have consequences. Unfortunately for people providing and seeking reliable OB/GYN care in Iowa, they’re experiencing the negative consequences of others’ choices and actions.

Rarely do the people making the rules have to live by or suffer under them.
Iowa doesn't have enough OB-GYNs. Is the state's abortion ban part of the problem?
Iowa ranks last among states for the number of OB-GYNS per capita. State legislators are trying to recruit more, but some doctors say the state's strict abortion ban is partially to blame.

Trump’s America 👇
In the next weeks, doctors should be alert to starvation.

Starvation can be a surprisingly difficult diagnosis, as both food insecurity can be embarrassing & undisclosed but also the early medical manifestations can be subtle.

Unexplained lab or electrolyte changes?

Ask about food.

About 11.1 million SNAP recipients are kids aged 5 to 17 years, who need food for healthy growth, learning, & development.

The federal government has the capacity to continue funding SNAP during a shutdown.

Not only is it going to be a hunger crisis, it's going to be a farm crisis. All those gallons of milk bought from dairy farmers, all the produce, all the on sale ground beef and packs of chicken that are paid for by SNAP are subsidies to farmers who don't qualify for commodities subsidies.
