I mostly talk about Alaska, cats, coding, yarn things, public education, and local politics. Human rights shouldn't be partisan. https://cindyblack.com

BOOM! X-CLASS FLARE HAPPENING NOW from an un-numbered active region (AR) on the Sun's northeastern limb. This is ex-AR 4274 which gave us the G4 storm earlier in November. Apparently, it still has some juice left for more fireworks.

Finished my BSCS capstone (and trying to ignore my intense desire to refactor it) BUT that means I am down to ONE. LAST. CLASS.

KNBA really is my happy place. (Today it was Talking Heads but it's really their entire approach to music, news, and community.)

Today is a good day: got a great haircut, KNBA playing a favorite song, finished a class, and now get to spend a few hours reading my Computer Architecture textbook. Love it here.

Today's accomplishments: working on more knitted scarves for donation to a local elementary school after finishing up some training for work. And also absolutely (totally) working on my overdue project for one of my classes.

So @goshrx.bsky.social reminded me that I haven't promoted my Aurora app over here. Built it because I don't like having to remember to check KP index, cloud cover, and moonlight so I pulled API data to put all of those in one spot.

Still need to add BZ data, though.

Yesterday I way, way overcomplicated printing a list in reverse. (There was a tmpValue & index-swapping involved.) Eventually, I remembered I could start at the END of the array and work backwards is an option.

Let's see if I can find the simple way to do today's Java exercise.

Hanging out with Orange Cat, Potato Cat, the other human, and a Java textbook because low-key Saturdays are good days.
