Here’s the first piece that started my jar series 🦀 Based on Portunus sanguinolentus I’ve seen in Hawaii (kuahonu/blood-spotted swimming crab). Unlike the newer jars this one is big at a width of 11in/28cm. ~Lance

One more shark and it’s a tiger shark! This is the last of the ceramic shark jars (jarks?) so far. I’ll glaze the top portion over the spots/stripes with blue and after firing it should meld together for a more natural look🤞

And here is the whale shark ready for final firing. The top glaze was brushed on, pattern vinyl removed, prepped with wax, then the belly got dipped in white. Good luck! See you on the other side 🫡🔥
