Been doing a lot of work on the inventory system, items, drop tables, and UI! Fancy health bars and all...we out here lootin 💰 #gamedev #indiedev

Rainy days 🌧️ probably missing some misty ambient fog, but it's a good stating point I think #indiedev #gamedev #pixelart

With some of the core mechanics implemented...time for the important stuff 👀🐟 #indiedev #pixelart #gamedev

Added a snow weather effect, player interaction with grass, and been testing out the scale for buildings in the game. Compressed videos on bluesky don't give an accurate representation really😅having a pixel art(sorta) game run at 240+fps feels pretty slick #indiedev #gamedev

Hmm outline or no outline? Outline complicates things. Have to render all the layers to a separate camera -> texture -> material -> quad, then position...and it breaks current sorting. Then do that for everything that needs an outline😬better color values would help the no outline version #indiedev

Nothing like a peaceful foliage wind shader :) #indiedev #unity

Oh man, picking colors is hard!😵Testing out some different tiling methods...definitely a bit cluttered right now but can see some potential to get more organic shapes. Got the trees to change alpha when the player walks behind at least #indiedev #pixelart #gamedev

Figured out a lot of stuff yesterday that I was stressing about...layer sorting being the main thing. This character rig has so many layers 😬Unity actually makes it pretty easy once you know where everything is. Also got some 2d lighting and shadow casting working! #indiedev #gamedev #unity

Now we got some basic bullet projectiles, gun animations and screen shake! Got the camera mostly setup for the player view at least #indiedev #gamedev #pixelart

With a mix of blend trees, IK, and some code this dude is moving pretty smooth now. I feel like I should put in a slide dash next 🤔 #indiedev #gamedev #pixelart #unity

Prototyping a 2d rigged pixel art character for a game project. Not prefect, but I think the result is pretty interesting. Being able to swap sprites/colors with reusable animations is huge! Gonna try to do some shader magic to re-pixelate and add an outline #indiedev #pixelart #gamedev

I think this works for a low poly/low res style...figured out how to bake the the high res procedural texture onto the low poly version. Some of the pixelation is a bit funky...but close to the style I'm going for. #blender #3d #indiedev

First attempt at a procedural rock texture...had to remesh to a way higher poly count to get the edge highlight to work though. Anyone know how to take this output and pixelate it? #blender #3d #indiedev

Starting to get a process down for low poly rocks in blender. Now to learn about procedural textures... #lowpoly #3d #blender #indiedev

Getting back into learning blender, anyone got tips for low poly trees? #gamedev #lowpoly

Couple more pizza tests. Teriyaki sauce, chicken, green onion, and pickled mustard greens. Also a pesto, zucchini, and sausage! The teriyaki one turned out great, added some sriracha to balance it out. Pesto one might have been a bit too one note...maybe adding burrata would do the trick #pizza

Testing some new recipes using some left over amatriciana sauce. Turned out thin and crispy with a slight chew. Marinara pie with pecorino romano and dried herbs as well as a semi Trenton style tomato pie with mozzarella and pecorino. The sauce adds a really nice unctuous richness #pizza #gozney
