Last week, Dawul Wuru Aboriginal Corporation and CIEHF delivered a two-day Cultural Heritage Training Short Course between JCU Nguma-bada campus and Kewarra Beach, on stunning Yirrganydji Country.

We look forward to seeing more of these training opportunities offered around the country in 2026.

This week on Larrakia Country, the Nth Aust Savanna Fire Forum brought together over 500 attendees to discuss the future of Indigenous-led fire management.

CIEHF’s Distinguished Professor Michael Bird presented on how Indigenous fire management practices sequester carbon as charcoal in soil.
