📣 Publication alert! My new chapter on "A Rights-Based Approach to the Safety of Journalists" argues that we need to better understand the chilling societal effects of violations against journalists by considering journalists' dual role as holders and protectors of expression and information rights.

When I evaluated the costs and benefits of Twitter’s impact on news journalism/journalists (📚: bit.ly/3giHSm4) there was some balance. As it seems, not anymore.
