Thread
I was six years old and had been playing guitar for about a year. I started because I saw the Buddy Holly Story and freaked out over his red guitar. Then I got a load of the Beatles in the run up to Double Fantasy and that was that. My favorite band. My dad was watching football and I swear

Remember folks: if you have any small amount of artistic talent, any sex appeal, or can make your friends laugh, the richest man on earth is crying screaming throwing up because he can’t be you.

I’ve been thinking about these colors for the last hour. They’re so satisfying. I believe he used the yellow to make the other colors so that stay in harmony? Can’t wait to see it finished
Work in progress; acrylics on 3 layer jigsaw cut marine plywood (for external use). In the center you can see the setting for one of the faceted crystals that will be inset. The inner two layers are done except for those crystals. Gonna tweak the colors in the outer rings in final coats.

"All is lost" narratives are popular because people generally do not want to take action. Taking action is tiring so if all is lost, you are off the hook. Nothing is more seductive than not having to do anything.

lovely little thread (easily understood by non-musos)
I want to show you the magic of Steve Cropper in a way I first got hip to in Bobby Previte’s improv course. Everyone knows Green Onions, right? If not think of The Sandlot - OK now you got it. I love this song, but it is so well known I was actually shocked when Bobby brought it up as an example.
